You may call me crazy, and maybe I am. But walking out of the stadium last night, I actually credited the band as one of the many reasons we lost that game. Heading into the locker room at halftime, we had just put together a pretty good drive to get into FG range and tie the game. On top of that, we would be getting the ball to start the 2nd half. The energy in the stadium was electric, hopeful, excited. Then the embarassing band took the field with a weird, obnoxious, Wizard of Oz halftime show. Complete with people in costume and stupid jokes attempting to make fun of Bama, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, and even a confusing joke attempt at Texas A&M (which made no sense). The Tennessee fans in my section (myself included) could only shake their heads in humiliation. Some even hid their faces in their hands. Georgia fans were laughing at us. It completely sucked all of the air and excitement out of the crowd. It took a full 7 or 8 minutes into the 3rd quarter to recover from it. By that point, we were down 20-6.

Don't get me wrong, there are many reasons that we lost that game last night. But the band didn't help.

I didn't go but I've seen a lot of people complaining about the halftime show. There's at least 1 person on here who went so I'll be interested to hear how bad he thought it was. It was supposed to be pretty horrific.

It was the most godawful halftime show I've ever seen. Awesome thing was when they came out for the halftime show they acknowledged Tyler Daniels (JIB Grad) who plays in the Pride of the Southland Marching Band which was awesome but then I felt like I left the stadium to enter the Barter Theatre to see a play/musical as bad as the"High School Musical" or whatever it is called. So yes, it was awful, even my wife thought it was corny.

That was just a pitiful post and stuff like that should never allowed to be posted. The POTSMB had no, none, notta, zilch to do with the outcome of the game and that is just ridiculous, probably like my spelling. UT has zero run game and a defense that allows way too many big plays and generally can't line up right 50% of the time. I don't know what Wilcox is trying to do but it's not working. Bringing the safeties up to help out in the run D put our CB's on an island last night and they got burnt on just about every deep ball. If Murray would have thrown half of those balls accurately we would have not been in the game in the 4th qtr.

Losing Bray (6 weeks), Hunter (season), and Poole as well is really going to hurt going into the toughest part of the schedule. Heck we may not score a TD the rest of the month. Although Poole getting hurt isn't all that bad, I like Lane in there much better.
